Spruce Street Parking Lot Reconstruction - Completed

UPDATE June 12, 2017:  This project has been completed and the lot is open.

Beginning May 22nd, a contractor for the City will begin work on the Spruce Street parking lot across the street from the Washington Park District office.  The parking lot will be overlaid with asphalt and striped to allow for one way traffic with an exit on Maple Street.  A new sidewalk along Spruce Street and three ADA ramps will also be installed (see below).  Two-thirds of the total project cost will be paid by the Park District.

Work will last approximately two weeks, weather permitting.  During construction, the parking lot will be closed and on-street parking will only be allowed on the east (building) side of Spruce St.  Please use caution near this construction area.
