Plant Supervisor - Tim Randall (Class B Certified)

• Operation of City's two (2) groundwater treatment plants.
• Combined, both plants are capable of treating over 2.34 Million Gallons a Day (MGD).
• The City is served by seven deep wells which pump to the plants from the Sankoty Aquifer.
  Treatment processes consist of pressure filtration (iron/manganese removal), ion exchange (softening), and chlorine and fluoride added at both treatment plants.
• Two 500,000 gallon elevated storage tanks for domestic use and fire protection.
• Water treatment/distribution governed by rules and regulations of Illinois Environmental Protection Agency.
