The City
contracts for residential solid waste, recycling, and landscape waste collection
with Waste Management. Please contact them at 1-800-796-9696 to
establish service or obtain additional information. Each residential
property within the City corporate limits has been provided with a blue City of
Washington recycling bin. Additional bins are available for purchase at
City Hall for $12.50. Homeowners constructing new homes may also
pick up their first bin free of charge. We do request when moving from a home
that one recycling bin is left with the property for the next homeowner. All
questions regarding your service should be directed to Waste Management. The
rate for basic service (trash collection and recycling) is: 10/1/2009 -
9/30/2010 $10.35/per month;10/1/2010 - 9/30/2011 $10.65/per month; 10/1/2011 -
9/30/2012 $10.98/per month; 10/1/2012 - 9/30/2013 $11.30/per month; and
10/1/2013 - 9/30/2014 $11.65/per month. All
recyclable material may be put in the bin, separated from the other refuse and
set out on the curb. Recycling materials are picked up every other week on
the same day as your garbage pick-up.

CITY WATER & SEWER BILLS
City water and sewer bills are mailed quarterly.
Bills can be paid at City Hall and Washington State
Bank. Some residents may receive their water from North Tazewell Water Co.,
699-1165 or Washington Estates Water Co., 694-1061. You may contact them for
information.
GLENDALE CEMETERY – CITY OWNED AND OPERATED
Gravesites are available to residents at a cost of $550 per gravesite in traditional
upright area; $450 per gravesite in Memorial Gardens area; $100 per gravesite in infant burial section. Contact City Hall
for more information.
