THE CITY OF WASHINGTON ANNOUNCES $3,000.00 BUILDING PERMIT AND UTILITY CONNECTION FEE DISCOUNT INCENTIVE

Washington, IL - January 3, 2012 - The City of Washington, IL and Washington Community Bank are jointly offering a financial incentive to encourage the construction of new single family and duplex homes within the city.  Under this proposal, the City of Washington will discount its building permit and utility connection fees by up to $3,000 per each residential dwelling unit. Washington Community Bank has pledged $100,000 to the city to reimburse the full cost of the discounts.

The discount incentive will be available for all new construction single family and duplex building permits issued on and after January 4, 2012 regardless of Washington Community Bank's involvement in the building project.  The discount will remain in force until the $100,000 pledge is exhausted.
